WIP Wednesday

Between being off on Monday without kiddos at home...and then today Dayna was at home sick...I have been working on my niece's quilt.  Changed my mind again about her quilt and decided to dive into the Single Girls quilt...now that I know how to paper piece the rings!  The blocks have come together much more quickly than I thought they would!
I just thought this was so cool to look at with all those pins in place!  It was easy to just pin all the blocks at one time and then chain sew.  Worked out great.
Here is a close up of the block...31 different fabrics and Kona Coal for the solid.  I love how the colors just pop!  I was playing around with the layout and really like this layout the best!
Here is the traditional layout....I'm still stuck on the first one though!!

After honestly evaluating my WIPs, here are my stats:

In Progress:  10
Finished this week: 1

  4. I like the first one too! It almost seems to give it a little visual texture because the circles are woven instead of separated.
