Okay, how did a week pass by already?? I have been working like crazy on my EPP quilt...and it's coming along! I have spent every spare minute I have in my day to work on it. I was trying to get it to a finished status so I could baste it over the weekend....foot surgery scheduled for next Tuesday and I know I will be next to useless for a few days. Thought it would be nice to start the hand-quilting while I am laid up. Anyway, I don't think I am going to make that timeline...sad! Oh well, I can still work on it and get it finished up! I still have a huge stack of fabrics to make more diamonds, but I gotta be honest, I'm kinda done mentally....it is obviously not done yet and I don't know how much bigger I want to make it. I love, love, love this quilt, but I want it done already!
this is what happens every time I lay our a quilt...the cat immediately lays on it :o) at least she likes my quilts!
and here she is again....my EPP quilting buddy!
Here she is....101 stars big!! My goal was 100 stars, and now I am not sure when to stop.
I LOVE how the back looks...all those itty bitty stitches, holy crap!
I'm linking up this week to Lee's at Freshly Pieced for WIP Wednesday:
Beautiful EPP quilt! I'm doing one, too, but have also reached the "I'm tired of it" stage.
ReplyDeleteIt's absolutely amazing!! And what a cute kitty. :)
ReplyDeleteStunning!! I just don't have the commitment or attention span to EPP long enough to make something like this, lol!
ReplyDeleteThat's amazing! I can see that you might get tired of it after so much work but it is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI had to shoo my cat this morning too when I was taking pictures of a quilt. She was trying it get on it as soon as I started to lay it out.
That's a LOT of work!! It's looking terrific. And what fun shots with your fur friend - love the one with the prepped pieces in the foreground. :D
ReplyDeleteFantastic quilt!
ReplyDeleteThis is fabulous! Great job. Your helper looks very content.
ReplyDeleteShanna your EPP star quilt is so beautiful! I'm very impressed with how big it is already. I have been wanting to start an EPP project, but just not sure I have the patience :-)

wow so impressive! amazing perseverance! also adorable cat
ReplyDeleteWow... that is one impressive EPP quilt. I LOVE it.I know the feeling of being done with it though from my first EPP project but please, please do not stop just yet. It's too good for that :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous quilt in progress - keep going
ReplyDeleteOh no keep it going. You will be glad you did in the end! Beautiful quilt by the way. Don't worry we all have those little furry kids that can not resist rolling on a new quilt. Also your cat almost looks like my cat.
ReplyDeleteThat is so gorgeous! I don't know how to put together one like that. I love your picture mate. I have one of those camera ham's myself.
ReplyDeleteYour EPP quilt is incredible! Best wishes on your surgery. Thanks for linking up to WIP Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I love it. I say finish off the bottom row and call it good. It looks quite large. Do you use a whipstitch to stitch the stars together? I am just starting my first EPP projects and am not sure what the best way would be to join them. I have heard a lot of different options.
ReplyDeleteMy cat is that way too. Whenever there is a quilt out or I am trying to work on quilting something she is right there, laying in the middle of it! Your quilt is absolutely lovely!
ReplyDeletethese stars are amazing.....this is beautiful
ReplyDeleteThat looks fantastic! I started one and made one star. :P
