Oh. My. Word. It is the best feature of the room except for the fabric itself!! It's sturdy, the perfect height, has a big surface...I just LOVE it!!!!
Here is the table with the plywood on top...it desperately needed some color. So, my girlies helped me paint it purple to match! I had Pride and Prejudice on the small DVD player while I was working...LOVE that movie! I'm pretty sure that's where Dayna, my 6 year old, learned her British accent :o)
The cutting mat is from Jo-ann. I got it about 3 years ago the day after Thanksgiving on a huge sale. I'm not sure what my iron was doing up there...I have a small ironing mat I use when I sew. It's hanging on the inside of the closet door....maybe I just needed a prop :o)
This black bookcase is from IKEA and great for holding my Christmas fabric, serger, cricut and accessories, yarn, knitting/crochet tools, and still have 2 cubbies on the bottom. The closet door got a couple of purple coats of paint as well :o)
I got this solid wood desk for FREE from our school a few years ago...they were just getting rid of it so I snagged it. The handles were in bad shape, so I filled the holes and bought crystal knobs for each drawers. There are 5 drawers...the bottom left is a file drawer that I am going to use for my patterns.
Crystal knobs...I LOVE how they made the desk look so much prettier!
My tool turnabout is actually from Pampered Chef. It's perfect for scissors, pens, pencils, markers, chalk pens, etc.
This room is just my favorite right now. I still have a LOT of organizing to do...and my carpets are desperate for a deep-cleaning, but that can wait for now. I need to make curtains, artwork for the walls, and other fun stuff.
What you don't see ~ the chandelier. My super husband put it up and it is beautiful, but in all my excitement I FORGOT to get a picture of it, sheesh. So, I will try to do that this week, when the lighting is good :o)
